Here at Saphoy, we simply have our story for you and hope that we fulfil the above criteria.
In 2013, a Masters in Fine Art student, Asif Aslam, obtained a senior management position within Europe’s largest storage company. Being described as a transformational leader by his peers, he was tasked with increasing efficiencies and productivity.
A rather large segment of the business was the logistics and removals companies they partnered with. Over the course of the next 24 months deficiencies were found within every company they trialed. Common concerns were, poor time management, non attendance, undesirable staff and negligent conduct leading to damages.
Asif, found himself asking, how difficult would it really be to have a logistics company that was explicitly well mannered, truly customer focused, price conscious and above all treated its clients possessions with the precision and care that they deserved.
In 2017, Saphoy, was founded by Asif Aslam. He had one goal in mind. To be the finest art and antiques logistics company in the UK. Little did Asif know, that the next 24 months would not only shape his future for the better, but also create a first choice, go to, logistics company for hundreds of clients throughout the world.
Our company ethos and etiquette very quickly began to attract galleries, auction houses, private collectors, buyers, sellers and art students.
At the end of 2018, Asif, parted ways leaving his successful senior management career behind, in the pursuit for perfection within the arts and antiques logistics industry.
Today, Asif, can proudly say that his love for artwork from antiquity to modern day is not only his passion, but also his business.
This is a story of opportunity, autonomy and success. Therefore one must give back wherever possible. An example of how we are trying to do this is our ’Student Outreach Program.’
